Mit durchgetretenem Pedal spielt er einen konstanten Fluss rasend schneller Arpeggios, erzeugt ambientartige Texturen voller Obert\u00f6ne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der 1948 in M\u00fcnchen als Sohn ukrainischer Eltern geborene Musiker und Komponist Lubomyr Melnyk wuchs in Kanada auf. Er arbeitete in den 1970 Jahren als Pianist der Choreografin Carolyn Carlson an der Pariser Oper, und lebt heute in Schweden als einer der bedeutendsten und aufregendsten Gegenwarts-Pianisten und Komponisten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Insgesamt hat Melnyk \u00fcber 120 Werke komponiert, viele davon f\u00fcr Soloklavier, und dabei mit der \u201eContinuous Music\u201c eine Form und Spieltechnik entwickelt, die einen ununterbrochener Fluss aus T\u00f6nen entstehen l\u00e4sst, der unendliche akustische und emotionale R\u00e4ume \u00f6ffnet.
